ORIS skottle product ideas / Re: Piezoelectric Ignition
« Last post by ORIS on October 17, 2020, 07:49:55 am »
I have some in the prototype stage right now. Testing them out.

I am having a problem with them shocking the user. If you touch the metal end of the piezo while you are pushing it will give you a bit of a shock, like static electricity. I am trying some coatings on the button to make it not do that.

I will report back.

I like the idea. It sounds simple, but might be more complicated than it sounds. I will see what I can come up with.

ORIS skottle product ideas / Divider
« Last post by Henry on October 13, 2020, 08:04:23 pm »
Id love to see a divider that would clamp on to the skottle and allow you to separate different ingredients. Im thinking a divider that would cut the skottle in two and have an option that would attach/slot over that divider resulting in 4 separate cooking areas. This would allow one to either have two or four separate cooking areas when you want to be sure to keep ingredients apart.

Recipes / Pizza on the ORIS
« Last post by ORIS on October 02, 2020, 09:07:49 am »
Yes, you can cook pizza on the oris skottle. The bottom of the pizza becomes nice and crisp while leaving the top cooked to perfection.

Start with your favorite pizza dough recipe. I like to add some garlic and oregano to the dough. After the dough is ready I like to shape it into individual-sized pizza. My kids don't like fancy toppings, while I do like to have some variety on the pizza. Spray some foil with olive oil, place the pizza on the foil. This makes it much easier to transfer the pizza on and off the skottle.

Heat the skottle on medium heat, too hot and you will burn the bottom before the top has time to cook. Place the foil with the pizza on it right on the skottle. Cover with the ORIS lid and let cook for 3-5 minutes. Check the bottom of the pizza for doneness.

Enjoy some of the best pizza you can make.

Recipes / Pulled Pork

What to do with leftover pulled pork?

I made an 8-pound pork shoulder and have a lot of leftovers. So what to do with it? Easy, cook it on the skottle with some other things. First up was pulled pork sandwiches and some asparagus.

First I cooked some back for the grease.

Then added the pulled pork. Let it cook for a bit until it was nice a browned. Put the asparagus on with it for about 2 minutes.

Perfect pork with some healthy veggies.

Excellent route.

Living in Southern Utah we have been to most of those places, or at least driven through.

When are you going? Any pictures you would like to share?
